This is such great value for the price! I admit my dad assembled it for me so I can't totally speak on the assembly but it didn't take him long by himself! It feels very sturdy and looks like real wood. The lift top is so convenient and smooth. I love it!Made Extremely sturdy very nice love the color however talk three hours to Put togetherLove, Love, Love this table! Delivered on time! No damage and All parts included! Took about 2 hours to put together... but definitely worth the money! I would recommend 2 people to put together. Made it much easier. The only thing I could suggest is that the instructions be written out and not just illustrations... would have made it just a bit easier.BUY THE TABLE! LOL!Love the look of the table. Really brightens up the room. The directions were a little hard to follow and you definitely need two pairs of hands for the job but the overall product came out great. Would also recommend adding felt pads under each leg for easier moving.Great value. It looks like the picture and the lift top is extremely useful for eating in front of the TV. It’s sturdy when the lid is closed. Not super sturdy when the lid is up (as in two petite people resting our elbows on it made it creaky). It took about a month for the springs to work in unison, which isn’t bad… I.e. don’t think your table is broken if the 2 springs are different in flexibility, it just takes a little time.. Assembly was difficult but not impossible, recommend two people. It would be even better if it was a few inches taller.I was initially attracted to this product for the feature of the top of the table raising and moving inward for eating while at your sofa/couch, watching TV or what not. Putting it together, there were some key missing pieces which were not readily available at a hardware store. Wrote vendor, they offered $15, told them no, need the parts (bushing inserted in table for "stub-standoffs" to keep table stable, very important. I found a machine shop that would make them custom, but wanted $100. Vendor balked, can't blame them, that was an exorbitant price. Vendor told me to send it back to them. Well, box was discarded, and table half-assembled, didn't want to send it back. I found another machine shop to make the parts for $30.00, and the vendor credited me $30.00. Great part of the story. Now, the less than great part: Got everything together, putting spring levers on top of table, very unwieldy. Got one side on and was trying to connect it to other end, when the spring snapped back and tore the screws out of the top table and that was pretty much that. Reviewing my process, it would have worked better having another person to hang onto to the table to keep it from snapping back when the spring released, but I didn't have anyone available. The material under the plastic type veneer is nothing but cheap particle board and the only way to rectify the situation would have been to try to use liquid nail to fill the old holes and try again with help. Instead, I used the Liquid nail caulking to seal the lid, now it really does have a secret compartment. It would be great if the vendor connected one end of the spring mechanism in advance, and maybe having the screws mate up to threaded sleeves inserted into the material. So I have a coffee table without the movable top tray feature which originally attracted me to the product. It looks okay, but can't recommend it.My husband and I love it. We can eat our dinner while watching a movie. Plus it can store so much under the lift top. Helps keep the top clear of clutter. My only complaint is how difficult it was to put together. Other than that we love, love, love it.The table looks good. Its not the sturdiest, Were having an issue with the bolts coming out on one side...tighten them up ...then the other side comes out. The top feels like it should have a 3rd support in the middle of the top. You will need to open it up with both hands on either side of the top. However it does stay up and feels pretty solid when its upOne of the table legs was always wobbly. Today the table spontaneously collapsed on itself. If one of my cats were under there and got squished I’d sue.Great item
