So after reading the reviews, I expected the assembly to go smoothly right up to the last step, attaching the top to the base, that recommends two people. After getting the RIGHT and LEFT sides as shown in the picture, it assembled perfectly! (We had it backwards at first and it just didn't look right). It seems to be sturdy, time will tell how the mechanical parts work over time. For now, I have no complaints and for the price, it's a steal. The assembling of table and the look is really good. The only problem I have is that it has really pointy edges and it can easily scratch up anyone. But other than that it's a really good table that's not too large or small for your living space. And it can be used as office table too as the upper part easily shifts up to your height and lower desk can be used for storage.Let me start off by saying that screwing the brackets into the bottom part of the coffee table by yourself is a pain in the arse. I would definitely recommend you have another person help you assemble the table. The instructions were mostly clear, I just had some troubles with assembling a piece the wrong way. Other than that, I would definitely recommend you have another person help you assemble the table to make the process a lot more smoother. I'd have rated the easy-to-assemble feature lower but the instructions specifically state that this is a two-man operation. The coffee table is surprisingly stable and the picture is as described. The only downside I have to say is trying to lift the top. You have to lift both sides otherwise it'll be lopsided and fall back down. Overall, I'd give this product a 9/10 and would recommend this, especially if you're hesitant about buying furniture online.A little difficult to install (especially the springs), but gets easier if you have two people. The hinge structure is not well designed and the entire weight of the top is held up by 4 screws into the side of the wood. The hinges also twist very easily, so the top doesn’t move smoothly back and forth.I had a hard time getting it put together,I don’t like how there is hole’s in the legs that can be seen. But I do like the size of it.I like the color of it. It seems to be sturdy.Looks great in a small space...not expensive looking if that's what you are looking for but nice.Great table for small apartments. Can be used as a coffee table but also as your spot for lunch and dinner while watching TV. The storage space is a plus where you can store books, remotes, etc. The material is not the best but you are also paying a fairly low price. I strongly recommend it if you are looking for a convenient small table in front of your couch. This thing works very well for our living room in our little winter home - a small mobile home in Florida. We prop our feet on it, put our computers on it, or flip through magazines, etc., and then we open it up and eat on it. This would be great for a small home or tiny house. It is so useful and while I wish it wasn't pressed board and was real wood, I wouldn't expect it for the low price. If you have a tiny space to hang out, get this. It is so, so versatile. We really like to eat dinner on it while we watch the news (because we are old and the news is about all we watch nowadays). The table is nice looking. I find it a bit higher than it should be but that's probably because of the "hidden" storage compartment. BUT - assembly is a nightmare. It's made entirely of cheap particle board. The instructions are pictures only. The springs to lift the top are very heavy and impossible to install without two very strong people to stretch them. (And screwed into particle board, so I don't expect it to last long.) I would not recommend to anyone.Very good coffee table. This is just what I was looking for. The instructions to assemble the table are not quite clear, but there are not too many parts, therefore it is just intuitive to assemble. Once completed, the table is not too big, but this is exactly what I was looking for since it is replacing another table that it was just too big for my space. Table is sturdy, and it looks nice with the rustic style. No problem lifting and lowering the tabletop. Once the tabletop is up, it keeps there safely with no issues, and it is easier to lower down again. Convenient hidden storage compartment to keep your laptop for example, or whatever you need to store. This looks really nice in the space but when you extend it and put anything on it it tips unless weighed down on the bottom shelf.I Love my table and am using it right now to write this review. I have limited space and this is the perfect solution. I watched the video and the assembly was easy. I used a screwdriver bit in my drill, which I highly recommend. I put 2 pieces on backwards and had to undo, then redo them, but other than that the assembly was very well explained.Like the title says, it's been a great addition to my living room. Easy to assemble from the instructions, screws all separated by letter, and only took one person to assemble. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to maximize their space with a dual functioning coffee table
