"Dorm-room quality" is not a bad term in this caseIt is fairly easy to assemble and the table is small, for small rooms or houses.By dorm-room quality, it is cheap for what it is, light wight, and plenty of storage, but in being cheap, it is not the most sturdy. It shakes and wabbles when pushed onMy biggest issue is he drawer! No matter how I re-arrange the tracks, its always takes a hard tug to open the drawr, not to mention the clicker doo-dad. It does not tell you which way to put it in, and it is certainly a Bee to take out, and put inThis is a good looking coffee table. This is not an easy to assemble table. The instructions will require your imagination and ample time. The assembled product will have significant gaps because the predrilled holes are off. Been using it for a few months and have yet to stain scratch dent or chip it so there’s definitely a quality veneer on the thing.Sturdy piece of furniture. Real pain to assemble and I usually have no issues with assembling furniture. Only complaints: the lift springs are too tight which makes it difficult to lift the table up; the drawer functions on a spring opener so if you bump it, it's open; and most annoying is the drawer opens on the opposite side of the table from the lift part so if your on your computer with table lifted you have to get up and go to the other side to get something from the drawer.I bought this to replace my old coffee table and I found this one to be a lot easier to install compared to the basic one that I previously had. With this one, I'm not only able to store a lot more but if I want to work in the living room, I don't have to use a TV tray like I used to. Instead, I'm able to pull the top up and use that as my work station. If I want, I can even store my laptop inside of this coffee table with power cord and mouse. The bigger storage area holds a lot more than I expected it would. The drawer on the side is fairly deep and holds a good amount of stuff too. I love the style of legs on this coffee table and kind of gives it a vintage look. Overall, this table is really sturdy, even with having a laptop on top. The bottom of the legs doesn't scratch my floors either.Took some time to assble but wasn't too difficult, the lift too portion does not sit flush with the rest of the table when lowered, has a corner that sticks up. For the price, I think it was still a decent buyI got it put together and the directions were OK. But when I got the drop down drawer together it seemed crooked. Also the directions don't give a close up for the magnetic part of the drawer so it took me forever to figure out. Maybe give some close up on small parts in the instructions. Seems ok besides that.My husband and I put this together and had to unscrew multiple times, because the directions were a double sided piece of paper. The overall build was easy, but it was the very very minimal description for the drawer that left us puzzled and we had to just not install the drawer (might be returning it some how) then the piece of wood to move up for a tray, well the metal mechanics also weren't very well written on install and had to rescrew and re position and then found out the actual wood piece was backwards once we closed it (backwards because it wouldn't close properly). Husband hates it and think it's really cheap looking. It's also a lot lower than expected when we sit on the couch. Disappointed overall and probably would have a bit more hope if the instructions were better. It’s a great piece of furniture for the price, but obviously the quality isn’t amazing. I also had no idea how to insert the drawer, so we just chose not to insert it.Adding in the moving table top needs at least two people to install, can’t see how you’d do it on your own.
