My first arrived with a piece damaged in transit (not the seller's fault), and customer service was quick to fix. A few takeaways -- very hard to assemble. Instructions could use more accurate diagrams, and many parts click into place but are VERY difficult to do so. They also don't seem like they can be undone once connected. Double check your work as you go and ask questions if you're unsure- IMPORTANT - MAKE SURE YOUR PART#7 PRE DRILLED HOLES ARE FACING INWARD. I made this mistake and had to drill my own holes- very cute and sturdy once complete. it's perfect for my space. While assembly is a task, it's worth itGood table! Once assembled, the lift top works very well. I think it's worth the price you pay if you need a small coffee table! It is pretty small, so make sure you have the right dimensions for your room. And while it probably could be done with one person, two people help. I recommend using a rubber mallet with a cloth to get pieces together in the white plastic parts; tolerances are tight for those snap in parts and it's very difficult, but once it's all together, it's a nice little table!Although this table wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, customer service was fast and efficient and gave me no issues when needing to return or refund.TLDR: overall, at this price, we’re happy with the purchase. Plan to have a second person to help you out this together and read all the directions really carefully! We got this because it was the only lift top coffee table we could find that was in the dimensions we needed for our space. I’m happy we got it because even though it’s not perfect, the price makes up for any negatives.Pros:SizePriceLooks surprisingly niceSurprisingly sturdy overallCons:Impossible for 1 person to assemble aloneVery hard to put togetherLift top is a bit wobblyDividers on the inside make the space less functionalAs you can see from our photos, even after reading all the directions very carefully, we still managed to put one of the pieces on backwards. Also, I’m pretty strong and have never had any issues putting together furniture, but I was literally not strong enough to snap together some of the pieces (even with all my weight on it) without a second person to help.I love this coffee table, but it is a little difficult to put together. The person that wrote the first review is correct. I did what she said and it worked. I laid everything out before putting it all together. Also, comes with a flat head screwdriver but you need Phillips.Table is extremely sturdy and perfect! It’s on the smaller side which is perfect for my studio apartment. BUT look at the instructions 5 times before clicking anything together! Once the white clasps have been clipped they CANT BE TAKEN APART!Tips to avoid the struggles I had - 1) Pay VERY close attention to step 5 or else step 6 won’t fit together properly! (I slightly messed it up and just took off the 2 clips that didn’t line up and clipped the rest together and it was fine lol)2) Make darn sure that the boards with the guide holes are facing inward for the inside of cabinet part3) do step 1 last!I had to return the product because it looked too big (and very hard to assemble based on the reviews), but I'm giving them a 5 star for the return process.DO NOT ASSEMBLE if you plan on return. They don't use traditional screws and you cannot undo it. They will likely not accept a return if you assemble it so make sure the dimensions are there and you follow instructions thoroughly before assembling.Great customer service. Item didn’t work for me but it was still such good material and quick customer service.
